Operating with the Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous, the purpose of the Bluegrass Roundup, Inc. is to establish, organize, and maintain a committee of people committed to the preservation of a Gay and Lesbian recovery weekend located in a city of Kentucky (alternating between Louisville and Lexington), and to carry the message of Service, Recovery, and Unity to the Alcoholic and Al-Anon that still suffers.  Our function is not to isolate or separate ourselves from the mainstream of AA/Al-Anon but rather to provide our experience, strength, and hope to ANY arm of AA/Al-Anon when called upon to do so, and to work in the spirit of Unity and Service with AA/Al-Anon for the betterment of the Gay and Lesbian members of AA/AL-Anon as a whole.  This recovery weekend shall be known now and hereafter as the Bluegrass Roundup.
